About Me: Im Liadhain, Im 15, I am a vegetarian, I am Straight edge, I am a pacifist, I dont believe in labels and stereotyping. I want to go vegan for next years new years resolution from 1st January 2009 onwards =]
I love body modification and currently am in the process of stretching my ear lobes ( 8mm - left and 6mm - right) I have one cartilage piercing and a nose piercing. I am getting a industrial in the summer, plan to have a couple more cartilages. Lip piercing when im 16 - left or labret?? and belly button and I a couple of tattoos =]
I am very passionate about being vegetarian and helping the environment and animals as much as possible.
My other passion is music. I play guitar and do a little songwriting, my favourite music is heavy metal, but I also love screamo, Punk - (Not pop punk), hardcore a little electro, emo, indie etc.
My favourite artists at the moment are: Machine Head, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God, DevilDriver, Divine Heresy, At the Gates, Gallows, In flames, Children of Bodom, Dragonforce, Trivium (old stuff), Bullet for my Valentine, Kate Nash, Bring me the Horizon,Scouting for Girls and My Chemical Romance (Old Stuff)
How I became a veggie: I have wanted to be a vegetarian for a very long time but one christmas when we were eating turkey, I said "Imagine a vegetarian christmas" and My dad a little tipsy on wine started ranting that humans are omnivores designed to eat meat etc. I was upset and left it (I was about 9 at the time) I asked my mum about becoming vegetarian (when I was about 11) and she said that I could go veggie if I really wanted to when I was a healthier weight (because I have an extremely fast metabolism, I ate ALOT but was underweight. So when I reached puberty I started gaining weight (like my mum suggested as it was the same for her and my dad) On 1st January 2008 I became vegetarian after about 8 years of waiting.
I wanted to go vegetarian because I have always cared about animals, I think it is gross and inhumane to kill them just for eating if I could easily survive otherwise. Going vegetarian has made me alot happier and more confident, because I am now me, not a meat-eater - that WAS NOT me.
