Hey go! :) Things are going well here...how you? Did your move/job hunt go well?

Thanks for the add.

Hi thanks for adding me.

How are you?

Thanks for the add! How are ya? :)

If I do need any ideas to spark something I'll be sure to ask, thanks! I'm good....super busy with the end of the school year...I'm trying to finiah a rough edit on my senior project and finish a documentary project. Plus write a 10 page paper on elephants for another class and a 10 page paper on Lynch films. I can't wait for summer; I might be doing some editing for a small production company on a doc. about gun violance...which would be awesome. It's cool that you're interested in so many different area; the more you know/like the further you can get.
The soul Purpose is the first actualy film i made. We had an assignment to create a handmade film and that was it. So, I decided to do contact printing of 35mm cow stills I had taken onto some 16mm stock; i really liked how it turned out.

I play a lot with make up. I had a couple on my MySpace profile that I had done to myself. The director found me there. I had a few Marilyn Monroe, I made myself black, and a polar bear and a few others.

There will be a huge range of different styles included in this film. I'll be doing different era styles. A couple will have scars, blood shot wounds. One of the scenes has a old time silent film so I'll be doing the effects for that time frame.

Haha! Rubbing in the good weather, I see! It isn't that bad, why I stay here, I guess because of great family and friends. I'm waiting for a local movie director to get started on his film. He has put me in charge of Hair and makeup. He's waiting on the financing before he can shoot. I'm pretty excited about it. It will be my first film. Check it out WWW.THEDEADANDTHEDREAMING.COM

they're not really restrictive..you make what you want to make and they try to help your idea come to life with feedback on footage/edits. but they are particular on the audio track in terms of "music" they're very against just laying a track of music/a dong or whatever over the entire film. we/i mostly to diagetic noise and i know most of my films could use better audio...its the last thing i think about (other then voice over) and usually don't work with it as much as i'd like...but i'm going to do a lot more with it on the piece i'm currently working on....but i'd gladly take any advice/duggestion for improvement!
I got into film after i directed a play my senior year of h.s. and just wanted more control over the situation/what and how they viewer sees and then i went to uwm and discovered it ws an experimental school...saw a few pieces by my teachers, that sort of showed me the potential of personal filmmaking...and went on to make my own, that i'm for the most part happy with. Are you planning on doing strictly hollywood narrative work?

Besides the 10 earthquakes that we've experienced in the last two weeks. Pretty good. The weather is starting to get nice, so I turn off the heat and open the windows for awhile. Still a little rainy on occasion. But, it's getting nicer. How the weather where you're at?

The Plan is to move out to L.A. and go to to Cinema School to learn prosthetics and special effects movie make up. I know the whole beauty end of it. I'll probably find a little apartment close enough to school so I could walk there. Gas prices out there are off the wall, so that will save me a little money. I'll probably get a job at a salon and apply for a reciprocity license with the state board to work out there. If things go well, I'll stay in L.A. after the schooling. If not, I'll move back to St. Louis and just travel to the locations that are filming.

Well, experimental is generally just another genre-i guess- of film. It focuses on non-traditional filmmaking (for example, the first film I ever watch in school, in an intro. class, was about a 30 min. pieces where we watched how the light moved over a "stationary" shot of a lemon; now that's pretty extreme compared to what most people do/what we watch). I always find it's really hard to explain to people what experimental film is. We do have people who work narratives, but that's not the teaching perspective's focus. I'd ideally want to learn narratives structures/cameras/light...ect...So, that I can use both narrative and experimental techniques in future works. I guess what I'm saying is I want to do narratives and will prob. go to graduate school in L.A. or N.Y. to learn about that. Right now, I focus on personal experimental filmmaking and I have a link to my youtube page on my profile that has some of my experimental work....if you want a better idea of what I'm saying....the quality isn't best because of the compression, but oh, well.

I'm probably the only Cosmetologist out there that's not on some kind of medication! I wanted to go out west but I had no reason to go at the time. Why move out some where and have no idea what to expect only to find yourself back home with nothing. Now I have something to look forward to, I have a plan, and a goal, and a life to live. Now all I need is some money to get there!

I think I became interested in Cosmetology when i started to cut my own hair at 16. Haha! But I didn't step foot in to it until I was 24. I think it took a lot of dead end jobs, and poor pay before I was fed up with it all. I enjoy it and has so many area's of interest that you're not stuck doing any one thing.

I always said that I was going to move out west after High School, but that's what I get being a procrastinator!

Thanks! I'll check it out. I'm actually going to be graduating this December with my BFA and I'm really considering going on to graduate school...my school is very experimental, which is great, but I'd also like to at least learn some more narrative, so I can combine them later on.

I'm doing great! I haven't been to NV yet. I'm planning on venturing out west soon. Maybe in a couple of years. I was planning on going to CA for a couple of years to study Cinema Makeup. I would love to head out that way. I've been longing to go there since I was 16. I love warm and sunny weather.

Hey! So, how was the transtition from vegan to raw vegan? I've been thinking/wanting to do it for a while now...

Hello! How are ya?
