About Me: I am a strong, independent, politically active woman of color, mother, and educator. I love exploring the planet, its people, and cultures, and sharing my discoveries with my son and students. Snowboarding is my favorite hobby, although I also find great joy in gardening, cooking healthy meals, reading a good book, drawing, dancehall dancing, and fixing up my house. I am inspired by hard working folks who rise above life's obstacles, and creative parents with cool ideas.

How I became a veggie: I gave up eating meat when I became pregnant with my son. Having a little innocent and beautiful spirit growing inside of me, provided the inspiration to completely revamp my entire diet. I went from fast food to organic living almost overnight!
