About Me: I'm a homebrewer, guitarist, father of an adorable little girl (born 9/20/07), and husband to a supportive woman. I tend to be interested in just about anything. I'm currently hoping to find a like-minded singer/songwriter/musician (mostly singer) to collaborate on some music.

I am environmentally and worldly motivated. I firmly believe that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. And I apply that to all areas of life whether it be for environmental reasons that "restrict the growth of corporations", universal health care (which somehow upsets the wealthy), revision of the tax code (which benefits the wealthy), worldwide access to clean water and electricity, and more and more. Some people would consider me a Communist. I tend to think that I'm a Marxist. Why? Most people still have evil Russian/Chinese dictators in their heads when they think of Communists. Marxism, while the same thing, comes without the evil connotations and unhappiness. I believe in the redistribution of wealth so that everyone can live a happy middle-class lifestyle. In my lifetime? Not likely. But we're working towards it!

How I became a veggie: I started dating a vegetarian in '99 and politely didn't eat meat in front of her. I began to realize that the meat-free food tasted better. I decided to go vegetarian in September of '99 and once I learned about the environmental aspects of vegetarianism, I never looked back. I never miss any of the meat dishes I used to eat and I've never struggled with my choice. The only thing I miss? Easily being able to eat when I'm out of the house!

My neighbors gave me the nickname "Hops" because I use a lot of hops in my brews. Now all of my beers are "Hops' [beer style]".
