About Me: i'm vegan. i'm a girl. i like avocados and buster keaton and singing and dancing and snuggling with pippin the pug. i like to drink from teacups whenever possible. i have a really hard time buying clothes that aren't black.

How I became a veggie: first, because my sister went vegetarian and explained to me how farm animals were mistreated. while she was talking, the realizations that dairy cows and laying hens are "farm animals" too took hold. that made me start moving towards a more welfarist standpoint. years later, my mom was playing with pippin one day (the aforementioned pug) and picked him up and looked him in the eye and said, "he's a tiny being". something about that phrase touched me and made me think of him, and by extension all other animals, in a new way. it's an odd way to make the leap, but hearing those words made me realize that AR was the way to go.

Sorry but my english is terrible. :)

Hello V-girl. I love your story about Pippin! Isn't it incredible how those brief & sudden moments of clarity really shape us into who we are...

it really is! four words that changed my whole outlook on life...

what ISNT it?!?!?

you're great.

Girls that like Batman, black clothes, and teacups are awesome.

you're my idol.

My favorite film by Keaton has to be The General. Chaplin isn't bad, he just isn't as cool!

Buster Keaton...I may say you have great taste! Thanks for the add!

hey vegangirrl, thanks for accepting!

peace to the pugs, theyre funny little creatures. and i get the reason why you became vegan. most people forget that every animal is a sentient entity in their own right, those little things really make you realise.

xxx

hehe nope..never noticed that! a pumpkin..but without the smile on his tummy he could have passed for a carrot!

thanks for the add =)

im visiting my sister. she lives here.

it's so awesome i cant really take it all in.

i want to talk to everyone on vegifide so much because we all have such mutual interests. but i cant find the time when im in japan! when i get home you should give me your AIM or msn or whatever and we can chat crazy loads. =]

xxxxxxx

Yay Japan!

The avocado fudge is amazing! Very creamy. =-)

hahahah well thank you very much.

how are you? im currently in japan! it rules so hard.

xxxx

i must try this avocado fudge thing!

=-)

i've heard good things about this recipe:

http://vegetarian.about.com/od/desertrecipes/r/avofudge.htm

i don't know though! people have said that you can't really taste the avocado at all and it's just very smooth, creamy, and naturally-fatty; All good things. Although i share your poverty and nervousness about wasting a perfectly delicious and expensive avocado on shoddy fudge.

i have been guilty of having my chocolate-chip cookie dough not make it to the oven at all. eeek it's too good to resist sometimes though!

i also share your appreciation for the avocado. i'm usually mostly a guacamole or sandwich spread kinda avocado gal but lately i've been hearing about avocado fudge. it sounds almost too good to be true. i'm intrigued but a bit scared to try it. have you had anything like it before?

It's good to hear that came together for you. I'm just finishing up a few things in the Midwest before heading home to Brooklyn. Happy it's Spring again.

Hey vegangirl. How are things for you in the NYC?

Skitch may be on to something--big fan of the Annies!

Thanx for the add
