About Me: I'm Andrea & I'm 17 yrs old. I'm passionate about animal rights & I try to get people to understand why going vegetarian & fighting for animal rights is so important to me. I'm currently in high school & I'm planning on going to FIDM for Fashion Design & Merchandising at the Irvine location and I already study it in a tech school along with high school. How I became a veggie: Well over the years during my younger years I started not to eat much meat, just this or that and then just turkey or chicken, and after I stopped. I've always loved animals and for these things to be happening to them everyday for people to eat them is ridiculous. At first it was a bumpy ride trying to get used to what I should be eating, but I've been a vegetarian for 4 years now. I tried out the vegan diet and I liked it, but I decided not to continue. My main reasons were animal welfare, health and basically the fact that they're treated like objects.

oh, yes... aqua verde! i LOVE that place! the food's great! ever since the first time i ate there, i've been making these black bean/yam burritos similar to ones they made. soooooooo yummy! i can't remember whether or not they were vegan, though, but i'm sure they could make 'em vegan. =) i always wanted to do the kayak thing on lake union. maybe next year. well, have fun... and take pictures if you can! we wanna see 'em!

So when and where are you going kayaking? Lucky you! Consider me green with envy! ;P Sadly, I've never been kayaking before. =( Hopefully I'll get a chance to do that the next time I come out to visit my sis (in Seattle).
