About Me: I am quite the mix. I love research and finding novel approaches to issues at hand. I am testing the middle path for myself and I hope to learn at this site.
How I became a veggie: I generally have never been a big fan of animal flesh. I had a small dog I loved dearly and one day I saw her leg in the right position and it was the same size as a chicken thigh leg. That was the end of that for eating chicken.
As an adult I decided that I would live the Dharma, which included Right Action. I have 3 backyard chickens and they have 7 ducks to be their buds. I eat the eggs of the chickens as they are the most spoiled free-range animals ever and they are all fed organic veggies and poultry feed. I eat cheese from a local cheesemaker who gets his milk from a farmer who treats his cows well.
I don't judge others for eating animal flesh as it is what they believe to be right and I want to eat what I believe to be right. I do hope to show/enlighten them to my point of view and save a few animals from being born in killing farms.
