About Me: I love animals and to travel. I just quit my job as a corporate travel agent to go back to work in the social services field. I support individuals w/ Autism in a "day program" which consists of going into the community to do various activities such as volunteering, preparing for employment or painting the town red. My ultimate goal is to finish school w/ Bachelor's in World Religions and Animal Sciences/Pre-Vet then go vet school and work in a holistic practice environment.
I volunteer once a week at a dog shelter, Stray Rescue St. Louis. So, more about me. I enjoy: reading, swimming, anipals (animal friends), walking/hiking, laughing, tattoos (I'll never be done), being outside, seeing live music, spending time w/ my nephews, breathing, sitting around a fire, chillin w/ my peeps - the candy and humans; the pink bunnies tell great jokes.
Now I'm also going to use this area to ask in assisting the no-kill shelter I volunteer with, Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
Recently Stray Rescue won a contest hosted by zootoo.com in which they won a $1 million dollar shelter makeover. They are still short on funds for building a state of the art no-kill shelter and are requesting donations. Even $5 would help. Below is the link to their websites. If you have any questions, please ask. Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Thank you!!!
How I became a veggie: My body told me to. I would eat meat and get horribly sick. It came down to chicken being the only meat I was eating and a friend suggested I go vegetrarian. Shorlty after I had a bad experience w/ chicken and never went back. I cut back on dairy a few years later, because, again, my body told me to. I eat dairy on occasion (after having a few drinks, pizza starts to looks good), but am in the process of trying to eliminate it completely from my diet.
I figured if our bodies don't want it, we probably shouldn't be having it.
