The V-Spot Cafe
|
Located in Park Slope, The V-Spot Cafe is a nice little 100% Vegan place. I'd say it's a cross between a diner and a cafe, with lots of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and pasta dishes to choose from. Popular items include their nachos, buffalo chicken appetizer, summer rolls, portabello salad w/ vegan ricotta, really good hand cut fries, tostones, chicken cutlet hero, Hawaiian burger (housemade veggie burger, grilled pineapple, tempeh bacon, grilled onions), and the meatball parm sub is the best vegan one I've had in fact all of their parm subs are pretty good. Also few places you can go to in NYC and get a hero, with a small side of mixed greens and fries all vegan and all for $10 including tax. Brunch is good too: chocolate chip pancakes, breakfast wrap (tofu scramble, veggies, soy sausage, and soy cheese in a wrap),etc. There are some "miss" dishes like any restaurant but they have a lot of good stuff. They recently also started serving Baby Cake cupcakes in addition to Vegan Treats. The owner Danny is really nice and receptive to feedback. They just started a punch card (punch for every $10 you spend and eventually get a $10 coupon) and Monday night music nights. One of my favorite local
One of my favorite local spots in Brooklyn. Clean, nice atmosphere, cool people (Danny, the owner, and Lauren, a server, are always nice to talk to), and of course, some good food. The Bandeja Paisa and the Breaded "Chicken" Cutlet entrees haven't let me down yet. I need to head that way soon.
Quite possibly the best fake
Quite possibly the best fake chicken sandwich I've ever had!
