Are fast food fries vegan?

I like to eat fries on occasion. Do you know of any that are vegan or not?

Depends on the chain, you have to look it up. I wouldn't eat anything from places like Mcdonalds. THE FOOD ISNT FOOD!

From what I've heard and read, the whole McDonald's fries and beef issue is b/c, for whatever reason, they use "beef seasoning" on the fries. WTF? Yeah...Nothing "happy" about that meal. :(

And Jack n the Crack - I mean, Jack in the Box cooks their regular natural cut fries in a separate fryer and fries in some sort of vegetable oil (could be peanut oil...can't remember, so double-check with them if you have nut allergies). However, the seasoned curly fries are not vegan, b/c they are cooked with some form of meat. I've noticed that a lot of places are aware nowadays, of how their foods are prepared...to some small degree. If they seem shady, unsure, or just asinine about it, then I don't eat their food at all.

if you go into mcdonalds and ask them for one of their "health info sheets" or whatever the hell they call them, it has an ingredient break down list... mcdonalds fries actually say they contain beef! dont wanna know how or why, but thats just creepy... burger kings, same deal, used to say they contain chicken going back a few years, but i think they're kosher now

I eat chick-fil-a fries because they are very good, not very bad for you,and it's the only place I can go to quickly get something to eat if I'm in a rush, thanks to my soy allergen.
I haven't eaten any other fast food besides that in years though.Even if I could eat fries from McDonalds or Burger King,I believe I'd have to pass.

Going to a notorious corporate asshole fast food joint like McDonalds for a vegetarian item is not extremely different from buying products from a pet shop that gets it's animals from a puppy mill.
You may not be buying the specific item they are causing harm to but you are buying an item that supports them, therefore you are helping them in their continuation of cruelty and oppression.

...and yes,I realize this may seem hypocritical to some but I do not see chick-fil-a as being on the same level as places like McDonalds and KFC.Their histories speak for them selves.

Guilt trip,anyone?

The only ones I know of are Arby's curly fries. They have a separate frier for them and they are all vegan. Every once in a while I crave nasty greasy fast-food potatoes and get them there. I usually automatically taste animal if there is a mistake in my food but they have always seemed fine.

Even on the off chance that they were vegan, they'd be loaded in trans and saturated fats so it's just not worth it.

I wouldn't count on it. many are basted before frozen in lard, so just avoid them at any cost.

its really hard to tell with things like that. I'd rather make my own and save the issue all together. though if you needs it, its always important to ask.

McDonalds aren't due to them frying them in animal fats before they are frozen and the shipped! even though they are fried in vegetable oil over here! ha!
And I wouldn't like to buy from any of the other fast food places either, not just on the grounds that they might have fried them in animal fat previously, but due to the fact that you're financing cruelty to animals, i know in most cases you can't help spending money in places that will prob use it to buy meat or dairy products but when you know that these places kill enough animals a year to fill england its pretty shitty. (ha, that rhymes! ha! I'm sad!)
so try buying from alternative places like vegi fast food shops or even making your own. :D!
