Why are these things so expensive?

These kind of weirded me out the texture was too much for me. Especially after back in 2006 the guys at Food Fight said there was a disgruntled worker who was switching the soy nuggets with real chicken nuggets which obviously has been rectified but ....icky thought.

Just had some tonight. Good eats.

Love these things. They've got a little bit of a kick to 'em. I took some to a Super Bowl party where I was the only veg (I just described every party I go to). Everybody there loved them and couldn't get over how good they tasted.

Only downside, folks ate them up before I had my fill.

These are fantastic! For a little while about 4 years ago, they added eggs into them and they weren't vegan anymore:( - I noticed in the store one day that they didn't say vegan anymore. I wrote to the company and told them that i was involved in a huge, monthly, progressive vegan potluck gathering in San Francisco and it was our favorite appetizer and that there were a TON of folks in San Francisco pissed off about the change. a couple months passed and they sent me an email that they were bringing their original vegan recipe back out and offered me a coupon(sweeet!). perhaps i was not the only one who wrote them - but i do take partial credit for bringing these back vegan-style! (ps - i totally lied about the potlucks, i just ate them at home with my roommates, but there's power in numbers, right?)
