Restaurant Reviews
SipzSipz is an asian fusion vegetarian resturant in san diego, well Clairemont to be exact. And I would call it vegan however they do have maybe five items on their very extensive menu that are visibly marked "not vegan". Their food is amazing!! I would recomend it to anyone! I love everything! My favoriet entrees are peppered pork, kung poa chicken, and the orange chicken. Do know that if you do not like "fake" meats they have many choices wihtout it too. The roasted salad is very good and does not come with any. They have wonderful deserts! The V-Spot CafeLocated in Park Slope, The V-Spot Cafe is a nice little 100% Vegan place. I'd say it's a cross between a diner and a cafe, with lots of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and pasta dishes to choose from. Popular items include their nachos, buffalo chicken appetizer, summer rolls, portabello salad w/ vegan ricotta, really good hand cut fries, tostones, chicken cutlet hero, Hawaiian burger (housemade veggie burger, grilled pineapple, tempeh bacon, grilled onions), and the meatball parm sub is the best vegan one I've had in fact all of their parm subs are pretty good. VegadeliI went to Vegadeli for the first time last night with Potentiality (keith), Solace, and Vonlothringen. The woman at the counter gave me a sample of the chili which was amazing. It literally filled me with joy that everything on the menu was vegan...no having to ask "can I get that without egg" or "is there milk in this?" My friends seemed just as happy as I was. So after much talking to the owners and staring at the menu. Keith and I ordered the following: Food Type: DeliCity: Chesterfield State/Provence: MissouriZip/Postal Code: 63017Country: United States![]() |
Pizza PlazaPizza Plaza is an all veggie pizza place with a lot of vegan options. They use vegan Follow Your Heart cheese and a long list of fake meat toppings. I've only had the pizza but I would have to say... it is the best vegan cheese pizza I've had so far. I liked cheese pizza before I went vegan and as far as I can tell, this is exactly like the real thing. And if you happen to live in Oakland, they deliver. Their website lists the full menu with items such as: Vegan Chicken Caesar and Grilled Vegan Chicken. Good stuff! 'Snice BrooklynJust tried the new 'Snice in Brooklyn and was pretty pleased. Similar to the one in the W. Village, this one is a bit smaller but still pretty roomy. Lot's of great wraps and sandwiches to choose from: Seitan Thai Peanut Wrap, Tempeh Ruben, Philly Style Seitan Sandwich, Vegan Panini and so on. About half the menu is vegan and the restaurant is entirely vegetarian. A few salad options along with a bunch of cookies and cupcakes that are labeled vegan (although they use refined Domino Sugar so that doesn't work for me). SipZEarlier this year I took a trip down to San Diego to visit my best friend who goes to college in La Jolla. As she is not vegan (nor are any of my friends) I proceeded to check local places via happycow.net. We found SipZ and decided to check it out for several reasons, one being it was close. The atmosphere was really cozy, the cups of water are very generous, and the menu was unlike any vegan eatery I had ever been to. Needless to say, we pigged out there for 2 days afterward. Sticky Fingers BakerySpeaking of bakeries, Sticky Fingers is definitely one of the best. Cakes, cinnamon buns, cowvin cookies (oatmeal creme pies), vegan ho ho's, cupcakes, vegan soft serve, and daily specials of food including a breakfast sandwich. Sticky Fingers also makes wedding cakes. All 100% Vegan and all non-bone char sugar. There is a no fur sign and policy which is nice. They also have several products available for on-line ordering through the website. Mr ChopsticksA staple of Denton life for many years. Has a new location which is absolutely wonderful. Asian fusion with many influences from India to Japan. The noodles are very good, but I suggest trying the Mustard Green Soup which is, perhaps, the best soup in Denton if not Texas! Also, the Mongolian Tofu is one of my favorites. The atmosphere is a bit loud and crazy, but this is due to the fact that it is loved by most everyone in Denton and full at most any time of the day.
