I don think this is really something you need to be posting here...but maybe your just looking for some insight.
Jeff you need to be more open and communicative to your friends about your situation. There not mind readers and they need to know whats up. Ive been at both ends of the spectrum in this situation. And it sucks for everyone involved. But it really helps to be honest and up front about everything.
You need to crack some skulls at your work. Let your employer know wtf is happening. It's illegal not to pay someone for there exchange of work. Maybe its under the table? Then threaten to the law or something till he pays you. Borrow some money till he pays you so your not burdening your friends with all the payments.
It sounds like kel and the other rommie are really bending backwards for you. Im sure they are feeling like there being taken advantage of at this point. And it really sucks that kel missed her friends art opening!! I would be hella pist if that was me. Your lucky you did not find your shit out on the street for that one. lol
