i haven't exactly convinced
i haven't exactly convinced people to go vegan..but i have convinced them to stop eating meat....
i see alot of vegan comments...but the site calls this a vegatarian community...
i am a vegatarian not a vegan, but i believe a diet consisting mostly of vegan food is the healthiest option
Great poll Sassy!As always
Great poll Sassy! As always from you!
Vegan Pixie, was my first vegan friend on 'my space,',then I had 'Pro vegan' join me,I took a quick peak at that profile, saw about milk & that very moment, went from vegitarian to vegan.
So 2 people really.
So thanks again to V.P. & pro vegan!
So I voted for 2 to 5!
Love to you!

its so weird, I don't
its so weird, I don't outward preach. but people I am friends with and who talk to me and hang out with me, routinely go vegitarian or vegan. Sometimes random people ask me questions, or talk about my healthyness or something that relates to AR or veganism I let them know whats up. but its amazing what I've achieved by less hardline in my day to day life, and present it in a very, intimate, and reflective style.
of course I hear all the time that I'm kinda charismatic, and when I speak people pay attention. so a bit of that somewhere too...
but best is letting people know "you won't date anyone who isn't at the least vegitarian"
haha... well then, i think
haha... well then, i think you need to start moving around more often and spreading your charisma to more people around the U.S.! ;P

OOOOOOO A fun poll to go
OOOOOOO A fun poll to go with the question. I like me a good poll!
I started telling people about Skinny Bitch and a few have changed their diet, altered their diet, or completely removed it from there diet. Slow process but I try to give as much information as I can to help them ease their way into it!

Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option
People are actually
People are actually fractions, it takes 17 pieces of person to make one, I've nailed at least 51 and 1/2 of those. I blast em with my Vaygun!
I think I'm like Greg. I
I think I'm like Greg. I must either be a bad evangelist or else the people in my life just don't care to connect their eating choices with reality. I think I might have two converts "in the works", though. My sis-in-law says that she hardly eats meat at all anymore and is inspired by me, and one of my friends in Texas recently told me that they're considering "going back", too (a veggie-defector).
I know since I went veg, a few members of my family have at least *cut back* on their meat intake... but mainly for health reasons.
So, I'm chalking this up and adding all of this together to vote "1". Does that sound fair? ;P
"Anybody I talk to goes
"Anybody I talk to goes veg*n, so it's got to be over 1000. I am a GOD(ESS)." Cute. :)
Honestly, I don't know. One of my coworkers went veg not too long after a conversation we had, but I never asked him why actually he decided to make the switch. Another one of my coworkers said that I was the person in the office that makes people think about things they wouldn't normally think about. I've been over to my omni ex's house since we got our own places, and caught him with no meat in the fridge aside of some fish, and SOYMILK. Without me to even be there to influence him. :) And so forth. I like to think I've had a little bit of an effect, but I don't really know if I've directly been responsible for converting anyone perse.
Perhaps I'm a bad
Perhaps I'm a bad evangelist. I don't know that I have convinced anyone. I remember back in the day in college (in Mississipp) me and a bunch of my friends sort of convinced each other, under the collective influence of the punk/HC scene.
I guess from my experiences I'm not sure that an individual will usually sway another individual to go veggie. I think most people either convince themselves, or they are influenced by several positive interactions (as opposed to just one).
I can say I've influenced
I can say I've influenced many people on a step towards being more aware of animal cruelty issues, and a lot of people have cut down on meat b/c of me...but to say they converted directly b/c of me is a tough call as well!
I think the best activism is setting a good example :))
