What's the best Patrick Swayze movie?

since my tat thing, i've been thinking about Pat. what's wrong with me? I might have to go with Point Break. BUT, there's also Roadhouse which has one of the best quotes ever "You're too stupid to have a good time." actually here's a couple more from Roadhouse because they're so good: "Calling me sir is like putting an elevator in an outhouse. It don't belong." "I want you to be nice until it's time to not be nice." "Pain don't hurt." There's just so many that i'm now confused and need help.

Moll, i'm sure it is but being a slacker from the 80s/90s I haven't gotten to it yet. sorry. Pat is definitely the most important thing on vegifide hands down.

Uno- All this talk about Swayze and no comment on the Christmas song. I thought that might be right up your alley.

1 & 3, irrelevant- he played a damn good pedophile; maggie has nothing to do with this.

he shined in this role, and the plot was so cleverly strung together around his indiscretions...

I actually haven't seen it either but it's too enticing to pass up such dumb quotes.

never seen it, I'm proud to say... but didn't that make me the outcast among the other 14 year olds in 1987.

But it was romantic and fun. As long as it's that, it's all good! Plus, it was Pat and who could say no to him back in the day. certainly not me.

He played a pedophile in dirty Dancing too. He was like 30 and Baby was 15. He should have been arrested. And that Baby was such a spaz. (No offense to Spaz)

A:

I'll add my voice to the donnie darko chorus, because

1: he played a paedophile
2: he was hardly in it
3: it had maggie gyllenhaal in it (drool) and
4: it is not a "patrick swayze" film.

Oh, and the outsiders would be second, for reasons 2 and 4 again.

Dirty Dancing - mostly because I have seen it a dozen times. "nobody puts baby in the corner"--- best line in the movie

I thought he was outstanding in Bram Stoker's Dracula. My favourite scene (apart from bit where Winona runs down steps in nightie and where we first see Keannu's powdery white hair) is when Patrick says "I have crossed oceans of time to find you". It sends chills down my spine just thinking about it.

My favorite Pat Swayze "movie" isn't actually a movie, it was a mini-series... North and South (Books 1 and 2).

I know you say Roadhouse, and that was a CLASSIC, but I think he really came into his own in Donnie Darko as motivational speaker Jim Cunningham:
