This happened to me about 6 years ago and I naturally blew chunks.

A:I'd probably naturally gag, but if it didn't come up, I'd make it. I made myself throw up something which I found out had eggs in it recently. :(

A:I have a pretty sensitive stomach. I had ordered a salad one time and forgot to tell the waiter to hold the bacon bits. Since it was my fault for not telling them, I just picked them out at I went along. Knowing that I might consume a piece or two. Well my stomach let me know that it really wasn't a good idea!

A:If it was in my mouth, I'd discretely spit it out, but if I'd swallowed it, I'd shrug and look for something else to eat.

A:Went I first went veggie my mum accidently gave me ham and cheese ravioli rather than my ricotta and spinach ravioli. I took one bite and felt sick to my stomach, I didnt puke, and didnt make myself. I just got very upset and annoyed at my mum. (later apologized) and spend the night ripping open the parcels taking out the filling and eating the pasta. =[

A:actually, i've accidentally eaten a piece of meat once or twice before and it never made me sick. i think sick feelings can often be more psychosomatic than literally making stomachs upset.

A:If this were to happen to me I'd naturally throw up. I wouldn't be that dumb to MAKE myself throw up. Not to offened anyone but that's over dramatic abnd not good for your body. I'm a strict vegetarian and lately i've haven't been able to eat milk products. I always feel like puking. ewwww haha
And if I were to be eating out and there was meat on my dish I'd complain to the server and the person in charge to be more careful next time, and not leave a tip.

A:This happened to me once also. Naturally I vomited just because of the thoughts and guilty feelings I had. And, even after that, I forced myself to puke just in case it didn't all come out. I just cannot stand the thought of digesting something like that!

A:That almost happened to me recently. Someone gave me a pastry looking thing while I was at Costa Rica and I bit into it to find it was full of chicken. I hadn't yet completed swallowing it so I just spit it out in a napkin when no one was looking.

A:I always gag myself when something like this happens because I've never waited long enough to see if my body would get rid of it naturally, however milk makes me throw-up.

A:if i have ever been suspicious of my food having and animal product in it, i have usually put it aside and asked for something else. i have found that most (not all times!) people are more understanding if i keep it cool why explaining to them. being a vegan for a couple years, my body is even more sensitive to animal products but it always has been. as for making myself vomit...NO WAY! my body has a NATURAL gag reflex or NATURAL reasons. if i stick my finger down my throat to cause myself to yack i am putting my body through chemical and physical stress. i am causing something UN-natural to happen....isn't that what being a vegan is fighting against? isn't one of (as the other would be to protect the lives of those who can not defend themselves... animals) the very basic ideas of vegetarianisms and veganism an attempt to return to what is natural to our bodies. and ultimately heal them?!!?

A:A couple years ago a lazy or uninformed waiter caused me to trust him when he said "no, no chicken broth in the rice" and the next morning I was so sick...
It was coming out both ends of me nonstop - it was truly awful and disgusting and horrifying.
After recovering I went back to the restaurant and talked to the manager who was all "oh yeah, there's chicken broth in the rice" and just did not understand why I should care.

A:I did accidentally eat a bit of meat once.
It was around thanksgiving or X-mas about a year or so ago, and my step dad's parent's had this dip out for chips.
I asked if there was any meat in it, and they said no.
So I took a bite and swallowed it, then thats when they said "At least I don't THINK there is".
So they checked the label and sure enough, there was beef in it.
And they were just kinda like "Whoops, sorry." and didn't understand how serious it was for me.
So I went down the street to this dumpster and gagged myself.
I'm wondering if my body would naturally have thrown it up, but I wasn't gonna wait to find out.
Plus I doubt it would have taken that long if so.

A:I think some of the answers and reactions are overboard. If I discover meat morsels, I don´t get scurpulous. In a delicate family-social situation, I put the offending morsel aside without any fuss. If I am in a restuarant, I lodge a complaint and return the offending dish. Maybe it is not such a big deal for me because I am a vegetarian, not a vegan, and don´t hold with the philosophy of veganism as such.

A:Gag myself, for sure. This actually happened a while ago when I first decided to go vegetarian. I lived with my grandparents at the time. My grandma was very forgetful. She had been making her and my grandfathers regular dinners, and making a special one for me. She would make my dinners with the morning star things. One night I guess she had alot on her mind, and she made my Shepard's Pie with real meat. I took two bites and thought it tasted a little weird. When I asked, she said she had completely forgotten. I quickly, but not rudely excused myself to the bathroom.

A:well naturally i would feel really sick and end up throwing up.
it happened to me at christmas. the lady told me that it was a veggie samosa.. and i bit it, then one of the guys was like "you know i don't think it's veggie"
i tasted the meaty juice through some of the dough.. but it still made me feel sick in my stomach.
i swallowed before realizing it was a meat samosa. I handed it to my bf who bit it to realize it was meat. :(
needless to say, my Bf's mom buffed up the waitress for making that mistake. haha

A:If it had made it past my tonsils I would probably digest it and complain to the manager. It would be hard not to throw up. I ordered a veggie burrito yesterday and discovered it had cheese in it, and then when I was almost finished it looked like some meat had accidently made its way inside. I threw the rest of it away.
It's almost amazing to me that after you cut dairy out of your life for 3 weeks and learn about what you're eating, it is incredibly unappealing. Yuck!
P.S. I have heard that most fast food fries are cooked with animal product flavorings. Not sure if that is true but I would not be surprised. Apparently McDonalds was sued for lying about it. *CORRECTION* It's true. Yuck!

A:I would throw it up. Honestly, I've done it before. I ate beans that had pork in them, and I knew it, but I ate them because I didn't want to hurt my mom's feelings, so I threw up afterward.

A:this always seems to happen to me with burritos.
over the summer i ordered a veggie burrito and about a quarter of the way through, i bit it, and felt the familiar, disgusting texture of steak.
i spit it out, brushed my teeth about three times, flossed, and mouthwashed.
since it didnt make it to my stomach, i didnt have to throw up.
but, needless to say, i was done with that burrito.

A:I agree with most of the comments... based on my past experience I would throw up naturally. I have had one experience that I had "beef flavorings" but not an actually chunk of meat snuck into my dish and I didn't blow chunks.... The food was cooked by a family member and I did feel on the edge of throwing up the entire night, I just never actually threw up. I know it made me sick, like flu like, headache and the whole nine yards. I didn't know about the flavorings till a week later.

A:i don't think it would ever get to my stomach-- i can tell what's not supposed to be in my mouth. so i'd just spit it out. if for some reason i did swallow it, oh well, no use throwing up over it-- making yourself throw up, anyway. if the thought is so disgusting that you do gag and puke, well, then okay.

A:I'm pretty sure I'd naturally throw up, but I've had several close calls where I take a bite (mainly burritos) and I feel a familiar substance in my mouth, happened to me today when I ordered a veggie works burrito at Del Taco, I felt something I spit it out and it turned out to be chicken.

A:Probably gag myself, to be honest. I've found I'm having a pretty bad aversion to meat right now anyway, so I might not have to, but I really don't like the idea. I thought about this a lot, as I was always worried that my ex's mother would try and slip me something (she was pretty anti-veg)...

A:I would digest it. If it got to my stomach then it was eaten.
It wouldn't change anything as far as I am concerned.
Of course, if I got naturally sick I can't do much about that.

A:This happened to me once as well. I specifically ordered something that was vegetarian and asked for no dairy, i.e., vegan. After eating quite a bit of the burrito-like dish I found two huge pieces of chicken at the bottom.
I went to the bathroom, I gagged myself and vomited to get it all out, I complained to the management, and I felt like shit for a couple days.
I would never do something like that otherwise, but there is no way I would leave animal or animal by-product in my body.
