TWO obesity and nutrition experts have called for Cricket Australia to end its sponsorship deal with fast food giant KFC.

i just wanted to let everyone know that my mother in law decided to take my chiwuawua pixie in! :)
she is being well taken care of and loved and i can see my fur-baby as often as i want :).
i am going to give her some money monthly for food/grooming/ vet expenses.
i am just soooooooo happy! we werent even going to ask her because she has always said she never wanted an inside pet.
we just stopped by before we took her to the shelter and she started asking me about her and said they were talking about buying a chiwuawua! crazyness. :)
couldnt have been more perfect timing. :)

Quitting Smoking

I am hesitant to post on here, because I'm scared of letting people down if I fail. But I'm going to attempt to quit smoking on Monday. And if I break down and smoke, I'm then going to attempt to quit smoking on Tuesday.

I'm going to try it cold turkey. I've done it before for about 48 hours, then kept "sneaking" them.

Mr. Smiles and I have been together forever. Our relationship's always been a little weird/untraditional in that *he's* been continually waiting for *me* to agree to "make it official". My parents divorced the year I graduated from high school - my mom apparently fell out of love and wanted to start a new relationship with someone else. Even being older, that really messed with my perception of marriage. I was never very religious, anyway, and the divorce was another life experience that served to solidify my (dis)beliefs about church and "God".

On all Odwalla products it says "Real food for humans." Which is true for them to say because it's healthy and organic and doesn't taste like something you'd only feed an animal. They're full of flavor. They have a few bars I really like that is called Berries Gomega which is packed with vegetarian omega-3's, Banana Nut that has calcium and folate, and Choco-walla with antioxidants, beta carotene and vitamins C & E.

Coal industries are investing vast amounts of money in carbon storage technologies- where instead of being released into the atmosphere CO2 from coal fired power plants is trapped, then transported and piped into underground stores. However this must be only a short term solution at best, and while reducing emissions on a small scale (don't forget all the transport emissions in relocating tankers filled with gas!) it is sure to drive increases in costs which will be happily passed on to consumers.
