Vote yes on Prop 2 and No on Prop 8 (EDITED)

Just reminding people in California, that there's other important voting options today, other than presidential.

Voting to stop the Same-sex marriage ban proposition.

EDIT: Made this into an actual blog post.

Also Vote Yes on prop 2 to help stop animal cruelty in factory farms

I'm completely jealous... California has lots of props to be really into and active in making a stand on.

In my state... the only one I was proactive in was voting yes on charter 5 which was threatening to take away the voting rights of county treasurers. and assigning the job to the sherriffs. Which I did a little lobbying on earlier in the week. But for election season... it was kind of boring activism wise.

All my friends in Southern California were telling me about all this activism they are doing... and it makes me, miss a lot of the activism stuff in that area and looking forward to moving back in april-May of next year.

anything good happening around other people areas?

I think No 2 in CA passed!!!

I think No 2 in CA passed!!! And in Washington they passed and assisted suicide like we have here in Oregon! yay! I am so fascinated by the possibilities that lie in our future now with such democrat strength in the govt.

Here in Az we have a few

Here in Az we have a few biggies. We have prop 102. That is like the prop 8 in Ca. It states that a marriage will only be recognized as a union between one man and one woman. The Catholics and Mormons are really pushing it. Gays can still have all domestic partnership rights, they just wouldn't be able to force Churches to do their weddings. We also have a prop that would make sellers of new build homes responsible for faulty work. The problem is that the prop also says anyone can sue the builder even if they didn't buy the property. Those are the big ones here.
Save a chicken:)

There were only three

There were only three opposed races in my district (presidential, senate and house). The only other thing I had to vote on was whether to have an Illinois constitutional convention (because they have to ask every 20 years?) and whether the county should provide a 42 bed sheltered care for the elderly, disabled or handicapped.
