V*gans in the movies

I've been noticing that movies are mentioning vegans and/or vegetarians more and more in movies. Of course, sometimes they're poking fun, (e.g. Martin Lawrence's character in Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkings) but other times they just incorporate a v*gan character into the script. From what I hear, it's kind of the "in" thing to do? Whatever that means; I wouldn't know anything about that, but hopefully those bandwagoners will stay on board for the long haul. V*ganism seems to be rapidly spreading and that's a great thing, right?

I was at a special screening of Will Smith's new movie, 7 Pounds, last night and both "vegan" and vegetarian were brought up throughout the movie. If you're really attentive you'll see it "appear" nonverbally as well...that's all I'm going to say. I don't think the movie will be in theaters for another month, but it's def worth paying to go see. I just wish I could've done a post-viewing interview to ask Will if he knew anything about the script.

Maybe as the word spreads, and v*gan becomes a household word, hopefully it'll also become a nationwide to worldwide way of life. :)

seems to me, nine times out

seems to me, nine times out of ten, vegans/vegitarians in popular media are more for comedic value. Not that i mind or anything, I love Greenthumb in the Freshmen comics.
