my mom is starting to piss me off!

man i mean besides the whole "beef broth is a vegetable" incident i thought my mom was being pretty supportive and understood being a vegetarian. she even has been eating vegetarian meals MOST the time since she has moved in with me. ive never forced my veggie stuff on her LOL she told me she WANTED to go vegetarian for her health.

EXCEPT.......... she's said you know she is going to be vegetarian, BUT she isnt going to deprive herself of a good steak or something if she's craving it. (her actual words)

and then today we were in the kitchen and we were talking about what we want to go grocery shopping for. she said she was goig to by the ingredients for potatoe soup to cook for us. i asked what milk she was going to buy *rice, soy, ect.....to replace reg. cow milk* because though i havent got to the point where i am totally dairy free i have gotten to the point where i no longer like cow milk.
she says well im going to buy 2% milk that way its not REALLY like milk.
(seriously 2% isnt REAL milk!? lmao!)

and then later this evening we got on the subject of something and somehow it led to a discussion on vegetarian/vegan diets. and i stated that about how i had cut out milk and now liked soy and rice milk and how eventually i plan to eliminate dairy from my diet.
and then my mom says "yea well i think that crap is a bit extreme! i mean they had cheese in the old days! so why not eat dairy?!" i TRIED to explain about factory farms and the treatment of animals, and the contaminents in milk, and how he dairy industries are connected to the slaughter houses ....ect...
BUT she wouldnt even let me get a fucking word in! she kept cutting me off.
saying sh saw a show and most farms have massagers for cows hoofs and all these great things for the cows comfort and they treat the animals good.
and i tried to talk again and the bitch cut me off AGAIN! grrrrrr.
then she would ask something and i would try to explain and she still wouldnt let me FINISH explaining anything. so i told her if she wasnt going to let me get a word in when she is the one who asked then i was freaking going to bed! lol
then she cussed me out and called me a baby and said if i wasnt willing to talk about it, blah, blah, blah."
and im all "how CAN i talk about ANYTHING??? you wont let me talk!" then i left to another room.

omg. i dont understand how she can turn around and tell me being veggie is great and she wants to be veggie and its wonderful and animals are treated so bad then in the same time turn around and tells me its extreme and stupid and animals are treated great in almost every farm!

i swear she has split personalities lmao.

my hubby is now way more supportive and cant believe some of the crap my mom says to me.

anyways i needed to vent about my mama drama lol. :P
