Will Ferrell is my favorite
Will Ferrell is my favorite GWB impressionist.
mine too!
mine too!
This guy was forced to
This guy was forced to release an updated version after info in the original was shown to be false. Specifically, he used graphs from the 1980's to state his case while ignoring more recent material.
And have you heard about his previous doco?
*lol*
this guy only made this film to make money or a name for himself. you can basically write it off as bullshit.
use less everything!
good to know for sure. I
good to know for sure. I have not seen anything else by this dude.
yea that may be ... but it
yea that may be ...
but it does reflect a couple of interesting ideas that i have held for some time ....
namely - there is a whole politico-economic industry grown up around these meetings/talks/conferences/conventions ....blahblah ....
all jetting off to the next event , living in high luxury accomodation , and not realistically manifesting true effective change in pollution / use of land
.... and they seek to impose an imperialistic restriction on poor countries , who through debt and natural resources , are contributing to the continuing extravagance and pollution in the rich world , whilst being told they must rest with basic negligible infrastructure for themselves whilst rich countries manage and invest in their carbon emission trading quota .

Agree with you :) The best
Agree with you :)
The best example I know is the recent visit of Al Gore to the Faroe Islands. He turned up here by invitation and spent less than a day here. The participants (limited number) paid through their teeth to attend and the media were left complaining that he wouldn´t talk to them and that he only repeated what he said his documentary: An Inconvenient Truth! As if they couldn´t have figured that out beforehand... Incidentially, the national cinema ran the film for a week before he arrived and it was also shown on the national TV network. Naturally, the newspapers were full of hype as well. No critical appraisal was made of his message and nothing has changed much since then to my knowledge. Imagine what constructive things could have been done with the money wasted by the participants on the tickets and the cost of getting him here! The mind boggles...
I agree to... and any other
I agree to... and any other source of this same stuff wouldn't trigger me to say it is bullshit. I personally cannot tell if CC is man-made or not, but the fact that the info is used to obscure the message that it is really happening gives me the utters.
use less everything!
i don't think the fact that
i don't think the fact that climate change is really happening is being obscured ; just the cause , and the coinciding with our presence in time at a stage of developmental dependence on carbon emissions provokes questions .
i can remember being at school in 79-80 and being taught about rising temperatures , sea-levels and migrating climatic patterns , all within the context of naturally alternating cold/warm spells - all in tandem with studying the increasing usage of our land and resources , so it is not and was not ever a new idea .
i do not dispute the fact of climate change , but i do question the intention and manipulation of a situation to which 2/3 of the world's population have no other reference ie they have been born and raised in an ever-present state of global-warming , and are being conditioned as such by the powers-that-be , the same powers that effectively ensure that most people on the planet do not have free access to food , shelter , water , electricity .....
to tell yu the truth , most people in need don't give a dam what the scientists think , any of them ...... they just want some justice in their lives
For real lots of people
For real lots of people think it's not happening. Doing research on agriculture I see heaps of it, some farmers groups in my state just believe we are in a "bad patch" because this state is experiencing a decade of drought exceeding anything in living memory. The fact that this drought is the result of changed precipitation patterns for this region of the continent escapes them.
3 or 4 weeks ago 2000 plus people gathered in a regional city in my state to demonstrate against a government environment council's recommendations to end logging and grazing in forests along our dying river, the Murray. I spoke to the organiser and when I asked him about climate change he said the state of the river was not about climate change, just "drought".

Ive watched bits and pieces
Ive watched bits and pieces of this video. There is some compelling and convincing info for sure.
At the same time, I dont think it is an excuse for us not to be responsible for our actions, our wasteful nature as a society. To live a sustainable life is to be in harmony with existence.
I know you feel me on that Rangi! : )
thanks for posting. I will try to watch it all the way through at some point.
