i have well over 200 plants in my garden. the basil and tomatoes must have seeded last year. because DEAR GOD. my garden plot isn't even 10x10!!

today as the first day of the largest farmer's market in town. people from all over the region sell homemade clothes, jewelery, food, and homegrown organic veggies.

it was underwhelming, at best.

*sigh*

maybe next week the people with the super huge summer squash will be there.

for those who are not aware, i live in kansas. kansas is a fantastic place to live. our state legislature recently decided we have the right to own machine guns, stop the women in our families from having abortions (well, we’re trying), and thought that the secretary of health and environment didn’t have the right to say ‘yanno what? i think it would be bad for the environment and the health of kansans to have a coal plant.’
