About Me: I am a nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, vegan, animal lover. I love peaceful people, peaceful places and peaceful music. I am a Christian and my faith has saved my life and sanity more than once. Somewhat of an old hippie. I love long skirts. Worked with a Christian kitchen at the Rainbow national gathering a few years ago and loved it. I don't drink or smoke. I would still smoke pot if it were legal and wouldn't endanger my job (did I say that out loud?) I love hiking, walking on the beach at the beautiful Oregon coast, camping, quilting, reading, a nice hot cup of chai, learning to cook new things. I like lots of different kinds of music: blues, jazz, some Christian, healing music (especially Saggio), classic rock from the 60's and 70's, can't stand rap or hip hop (so sorry). I am currently working towards my BSN, though my real love would be alternative medicine, aromatherapy, herbs etc.
How I became a veggie: Decided to become vegetarian for my health, saw Meet Your Meat, decided it was silly to just go halfway and decided to become vegan in February 2008. Watched Earthlings and know I'll never go back to eating meat.
