About Me: I have a bachelors in Anthropology with an emphasis in Primatology (Monkeys!) That being said, Chimps are better than humans. I am getting my M.A. in Museum Studies at UMSL. I've been a vegan for ten years now and am on a quest to veganize any recipe. I love to cook. I love dancing and fire poi (they're quite beautifully combined...) I'm a bit of a pyromaniac. I work in a chocolate shop because it gives easy access to vegan chocolate. I have two companion animals, a dog (Daisy) and a rabbit (Button.) They were both rescues. I prefer my animals to most people. I live on the North side with my family. No, you will NOT be mugged/raped/shot/stabbed if you come to visit. My name is pronounced Se-mee-uh. (Rhymes with tortilla) I've been called "Se-mee-lee-a," "Se-mee-la," "Sem-ill-a" and numerous other mispronunciations. I have subconsciously sought out a person with a name harder to pronounce than my own and made him my mate. His name is Srdjan (pronounced like the English work 'surgeon') and we've been together for four years, give or take a temporary break up. He is amazing. I can't drive ... yet. There's a bit more to my personality that you can't find on paper, but you'd actually have to do something other than internet stalk me to find out.

How I became a veggie: My parents were vegetarians, so I was born veggie! I went vegan in 8th grade after learning of the horror that is factory farming.

oh yeah I remember you, the anthropologist!
I was reviewing a report by Shultz and Dunbar on the social brain hypothesis when you joined, and wondered what your perspective on that is.

Can you suggest any good books or papers for me? I am interested in the social systems and behaviours of primates and how they relate to us in the evolution of our societies.

Thanks for the add, very nice to meet you!

To study primates is to essentially study humans (after all, we are just monkeys with big brains). I applaud your efforts in such a potentially thankless endeavour. I only hope there continues to be suffient numbers of them left for you to study...

Hola! Haven't forgot 'bout the bunnies, just busy. We'll figure something soon, semilla. Hope things are good.

Is that Daisy? Whoever he/she is, he/she is adorable!!!

It's Friday night and we're online. Saint Losers. ;)

is that ...
Sense-ability
still
all around ,
Semilla ... ?

ooooh sorry ,
it's not you
but i just had a backflash
to when i was at uni ....
and medlabs...
how do you deal with all the
...clinical scientific side of things
....or are you just an observer of behaviour ...?

do you only make and serve
vegan chocolate ......
here in france there are plenty
of specialist chocolateries
- but hardly any vegan -
and they have big fountains of choco flowing down
in the shop window ....
could be an'udder temptation
if one could falter ....
at least when you are moon-ing
in the ruwenzori ,,, ,
you will have to collect some pods and make the real thing
and you won't even have to sell it ....

Just to show
all is connected
