About Me: I'm a graduate student studying Public Administration: Nonprofit Management. At the moment, I'm unemployed (by choice) in order to focus on activism and volunteerism. I'm involved with the Walk for Farm Animals, Food Not Bombs, the Humane Society of Missouri, St. Louis Animal Rights Team, and whatever else I can get behind.
I have a dog named Will and two ferrets named Nemo and Roger. I live with my boyfriend Mitch who supports my ambitions. He has great ideas and really motivates me to accomplish my dreams.
How I became a veggie: My father is a vegetarian, so I grew up with the idea. However, he was never vocal about his reason for being so. As a child, I tried to give up meat off and on, but it didn't stick until I was 14. I continued to eat fish for the first six months of my transition, but I gave it up easily that summer. I got involved with PETA and did as many school projects as I reasonably could on animal rights and vegetarianism. I eventually heard about Farm Sanctuary, and I wound up completing my college internship there in the Communications Department in July 2007. While there, I went vegan, and I haven't missed anything!
