About Me: Hello to all! I've been here before, but I left for a while, and now I'm back. I've been away far to long from this outstanding group of veggie people. I'm a licensed cosmetologist, I've been in the field for about 5 years. I love it! I teach at a local cosmetology school, and I really enjoy being around my students and coworkers.
This year I've decided that I needed to make a few positive changes in myself. First off is to lose 45 lbs. Second, to get back into drawing and sculpting again. Third, to cut dairy out of my life for good. Cheese is the rude of all evil, and I can't help it. Geez!
How I became a veggie: When I was 16 years old, my mother cook hamburger anything. One day I said, "Mom, if you make hamburger one more time, I'm going to become a vegetarian!" Well, she didn't take me seriously and I became a vegetarian the next day. At 16 I really didn't know what a vegetarian ate, all I knew is that they didn't eat meat. So I slowly started to disintegrate and ended up being borderline anorexic. After getting help from a nutritionist, she suggested that I should add chicken and fish to my diet. She said that primarily vegetarians ate chicken and fish. If that wasn't a bunch of crap. I bought into it. Up to about a year ago, I gave that up, only because I had came to this site and they really showed me what it was all about. I haven't eaten any chicken or fish for a year. I feel so much more energetic and healthy now.
I would like to thank this site for the support, and knowledge they have shared with me to be healthy and happy!
