St. Louis Late Night VegansI work 11-9, 5-6 days a week, and do not have the ability to cook at home. I'm working on getting my own house but who knows how long that will be. I used to eat Taco Bell constantly but I was warned of them... And I'm trying to avoid chains/fast food. Really, the only places I go to now are Fazoli's and Jimmy Johns because they are open late enough. Does anybody know of other places to go for good vegan food in St. Louis that late? Possibly even food that is actually marked as vegan, verified, or vegan friendly? Chain or not - I mostly just need options. Fri, 05/22/2009 - 10:03am — EidolonSavior |
For Micah PerryMicah has posted many pictures of world famous vegan bodybuilder Robert Cheeke. I haven't been around much and this is why. Robert along with 2 other vegan bodybuilders came to Phoenix to compete in the INBF Best of the West competition. 3 vegan bodybuilders same weight class same stage same time. They also filmed a documentary Vegan Brothers in Iron. Although I wasn't with them on stage, I did compete in the figure portion of the competition. I also gave up the eggs and preped for the show as a vegan. Thu, 05/14/2009 - 3:55pm — MollyMormon |
Carpool STL to Awesome ConferencesThere are two animal rights conferences coming up, and if anyone wants to carpool we can save some money and be nice to the environment. 1. Their Lives, Our Voices - June 12-14 - Minneapolis, MN 2. Farm Sanctuary Hoe Down - August 1-2 - Watkins Glen, NY We are definitely going to the Hoe Down, so we have two spots in the car (unless you want to drive and have something larger). So far it's just me for TLOV, so room for at least three more friends! Both are pretty cheap too. Let me know if you're interested! Thu, 05/14/2009 - 12:51pm — Saracastic1 |

Belgian city plans 'veggie' dayshttp://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8046970.stm By Chris Mason The Belgian city of Ghent is about to become the first in the world to go vegetarian at least once a week. Starting this week there will be a regular weekly meatless day, in which civil servants and elected councillors will opt for vegetarian meals. The UN says livestock is responsible for nearly one-fifth of global greenhouse gas emissions, hence Ghent's declaration of a weekly "veggie day". Wed, 05/13/2009 - 11:07am — Vegmike |

Please report this youtube cliphttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qB6O6lbR0bs The clip at the above link shows an eagle being used to attack a baby deer. The more people who report this clip the better chance it will be taken down. Click the link, then click "flag" and from the drop-down list of reasons choose "violent or repulsive content"; then from the second menu which appears choose "animal abuse". Hopefully we can show the sick fuck who put this clip up that this is not ok. AA. Fri, 05/08/2009 - 8:35pm — adam_antichrist |
