Frustrated with Terrene

SO! Tonight is date night! I'm stoked, I look forward to it every week, we've been going on the matchmeat website and trying different restaraurants, tonight we were going to head to Terrene, I've been there before and just love the fried tofu on a stick! I made a reservation for 7:30, they close at 10, and received a phone call just letting us know that we were the last reservation and they were hoping to close early, so if we were late, they wouldn't be seating us. Ok, um....I've been in the industry for 10 years now and I know what that means, that means we were ruining there early night and they wanted us to feel guilty and cancel, SO rude. But we did cancel and we will be going to 11-11 instead. I have a tendency to become over-annoyed with industry rudeness, but that was just plain rude.  Wed, 07/15/2009 - 7:03pm — tessatronic

I just looked on the match meat website, the list of all the restaurants was pretty long. do you know what chris' pancake house has that uses match meat? or any of the other restaurants that have vegan meals? I tried to look at their websites but didn't have too much luck.

I've never been to Terrene, and I doubt that I will. They're on the expensive side, and I have never heard of someone calling the customer back to let them know that if they're late they're not going to get to eat. Screw that! With restaurants closing right and left you'd think they'd be happy for the business.
